Sending Artwork

• E-mail your artwork to art@getrecognized.com
• Mail or send your artwork to us to scan.
• Mail or send a PC formatted disk to us with a printed copy of the image.

All text should be converted to curves/paths or you may supply us with the font you would like to use. We do not accept files embedded in word processing programs (for example, if you imported a graphic to use in a Word Document, we need the imported file or clip art not the saved Word Document).

It is our policy to produce the very best product for you. Therefore the quality of the artwork you present to us is important.

Specific Use

Signs - A clean vector format must be used. All other formats must be digitized.

Digital Printing - Either vector or bitmap (the better the resolution, the better the print).

Embroidery - All logos must be digitized.

Engraving - A clean vector format must be used. All other formats must be digitized.

Laser Engraving - Vector files look best but clean bitmap files will work.

Screen Printing - Vector files look best but clean bitmap files will work with single color prints. Multiple color prints require vector files or bitmap files separated by colors in layers.

Promotional Products - Formats differ by manufacturer. We will inform you of the preferred format and handle any conversions that are necessary.

What's The Difference?

There are two kinds of artwork files - bitmap and vector.

Vector files are a series of connected lines to form shapes. These files can be separated by color and scaled to any size without any loss of resolution.

Bitmap files (or raster files) are a series of square dots that cover the full area of the image (like a TV screen). Bitmap files are measured in DPI/PPI or dots/pixels per inch. The higher the DPI/PPI the better the resolution. These files usually cannot be re-sized without distorting the image.

Digitizing is taking a bitmap image or a clean printed image (which we scan) and converting it to a vector image. Digitizing charges depend upon the amount of time it takes to clean and prepare the image.
